Like so many ideas, Pattern Mine was born out of necessity. Our founder's first born was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis soon after his birth. Within a few years, he had ammassed a sizeable collection of journal articles and references related to the diesease and the various treatments. He needed some way to organize the articles and compare studies that often have contradictory findings. What better way to combine his experience as a software engineer than to create tools he and others could use in their search for answers.
